When our package arrived in a small box, my husband said there is no way there is a bed pad in there that will be big and cushy and supportive for our dog. He said send it back without even opening it. I laughed. I said wait and see! It says it will expand when opened and fluff up! And I tell you, it was a big pad almost immediately after opening it! We let it fluff up while examining the covers that came with it. There was a separate water proof type of zippered pillow case cover that you put on first. And then there was an another zippered cover that goes over that. We had choose the blue jean material. It seems thick and durable. Both covers were very easy to put on. It was all put together and ready for our old man within about 15 minutes. I laid on it a minute just to see how it felt and to get my scent on it. Next we let our dog try it out. He thought it was very comfy. I find him laying on it much more than he laid on his old bed. My husband is a believer now! And we all think this bed is a keeper!

I've bought several beds over the years from these guys. I foster for a Doberman rescue (medium to large dogs) and these are my go to. The insert is real gel foam, like you would get in a high quality people mattress. I buy an extra waterproof cover and "double bag" the foam inside the outer cover (which is durable but not plasticky). I've only ever had to replace beds bc I've given them away or a dog turned out to be a particularly determined chewer.

This is my second bed purchase from here for my 13 year old dog (one for his crate, one to keep on the floor). The bed is supportive and comfortable, my cat likes it too and I even lay on it myself sometimes! I’ve looked into other beds but none seem to compare.

Love the bed. So far my Great Dane pup does to. I only wish the outer cover fit the bed a little more snug.

This is my second time buying this bed for my senior dogs who are typically medium sized (and under 55 lbs). They love how comfortable and supportive the foam mattress has been especially as their arthritis sets in. Love that the denim and waterproof cover are easy to remove and wash monthly (though would advise for the inner waterproof cover, just line dry it to prevent the lining from cracking/flaking).
